PRE-heat, Inc. is a leading designer and manufacturer of industrial air-to-air heat transfer equipment. The company evolved from a simple idea: “Design and deliver equipment that saves energy and exceeds the customer’s performance and quality expectations.”

The ILW utilizes a combination of a wave pattern to increase turbulence and an in-line dimple pattern to maintain plate spacing. This combination creates a plate heat exchanger with structural integrity and high turbulence while maintaining low pressure drop. The ILW is a heavy duty, cleanable, all welded plate type heat exchanger with the most robust primary seal weld in the industry. The all welded construction eliminates cross contamination (leakage) between the gas streams. The ILW also provides high percentage heat transfer effectiveness. Variable plate thickness, plate spacing and plate sizes are designed to meet system requirements and fine tune the system to maximize efficiency and cost. Removable access doors are available for cleaning and inspection.

Low temperature systems are fabricated using 409-stainless steel, while units for corrosive or high temperature applications utilize various grades of stainless steel and alloys. Standard materials include 304, 316, 309 and 310 stainless steels.

Since each unit is custom designed we can offer a wide range of options, such as:

  • Access doors for cleaning and inspection
  • Insulation and cladding
  • By-pass ductwork with dampers and controls
  • Transitions, plenums, filtered

Because of our years of experience with a variety of applications and materials, we build all systems with robust features such as:

  • All-metal, all-welded construction
  • Robust primary seal welds
  • High efficiency heat transfer
  • in a compact design
  • High temperature designs
  • Stainless steel alloys
  • 100 CFM to 100,000 CFM
  • Variable plate spacing
  • Variable plate thickness
  • Vertical or horizontal units
  • Cleanable units for dirty application
