PRE-heat Partners with ZILONIS to Offer Liquid-to-Liquid Heat Exchangers

OOSTBURG, Wisc., March, 26, 2025 — PRE-heat, Inc. (doing business as PRE-heat) is pleased to announce the company’s partnership with ZILONIS, a German-based provider of custom heat exchanger solutions. PRE-heat, located in Oostburg, Wisconsin, is a leading provider of air-to-air heat exchangers; joining forces with ZILONIS enables PRE-heat to broaden their product offerings by tapping into ZILONIS’ liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger designs. For ZILONIS, this new relationship creates an opportunity for the European company to enter the U.S. market.
PRE-heat was founded in 1980 by Don Bergin. Over the years, PRE-heat has developed a reputation for developing innovative shell and tube air-to-air heat exchangers with proprietary expansion systems, meeting industry demands for enhanced performance. In more recent years, the company diversified its product line, introducing the dimple plate and in-line wave series of plate heat exchangers to cater to evolving customer needs for improved efficiency and flexibility.
The family business, now run by Don Bergin’s son Dan Bergin, continues to look for opportunities to innovate in the heat transfer equipment space and offer more solutions for their customers. That’s why teaming up with ZILONIS feels like the natural next step for Bergin.
The partnership is mutually beneficial for ZILONIS, who can harness PRE-heat’s expertise in air-to-air heat exchangers. Dan explains, “The relationship started at the beginning of 2024 when we saw them as a way to provide more products to our customers for things we don’t manufacture. They, like us, want to offer more to their customers and support them. This will not only allow us to bring in product lines to serve more commercial applications, higher pressure applications, and liquid-to-liquid applications, but it also helps ZILONIS with the missing link of industrial air-to-air units they were missing.
ZILONIS was founded in 2020 and now brings together renowned German heritage companies such as IGEFA-WEINBRENNER, DELLER, ACHENBACH-DEUKER, and many others under one roof. Over time, ZILONIS has continued to develop its portfolio and has become known for its customer-tailored solutions, gaining international recognition for its eco-friendly technology.
